We added sheep to our rotation this summer for the first time! Our first flock has been grazing since the summer and will be ready for the butcher just in time for Easter. Adding more ruminants to our pasture has been a goal of ours since the beginning and we’re excited to see it finally happen.
This fall we are starting a Cheviot breeding program! We love heritage breeds and we’re excited to purchase 5 ewes from friends in Ohio. It will be slow going the first couple years but with good genetics and patience we hope to have quality lamb that you can taste the difference in.
